Applied by Hand

Venetian plaster and Italian plaster bring a depth that flat paint cannot. Applied by hand and burnished to a soft glow, our decorative plaster walls suit both classic and modern interiors.

What Venetian Plaster Is

Venetian plaster is a traditional finish: fine plaster laid on in thin layers with a steel trowel, then burnished. Each layer catches the light at a slightly different depth, so the wall reads with the movement and quiet sheen of polished stone rather than the flat surface of paint. Because every pass is made by hand, no two walls are ever quite the same.

Italian plaster is the wider family it belongs to. Depending on the material and the trowel work, a plaster finish can be soft and matte, gently mottled, or polished to a deep, reflective glow.

Where It Works

Plaster rewards the rooms where a finish is seen up close and in changing light: entries and stair halls, dining rooms, powder rooms and bathrooms, ceilings, fireplace surrounds, and range hoods. It is just as at home in a clean, modern interior, where a single plastered wall can carry the whole room.

Finishes We Offer

  • Venetian plaster, polished or matte
  • Italian plaster
  • Clay finishes
  • Custom textures developed for your space

Color is matched to your palette and your existing design. When needed, we create a custom sample so you can see the color, texture, and overall effect in your own light before application.

How a Plaster Project Works

Every project follows the same five steps: consultation and color, estimate and sample, surface preparation, hand application, and a final seal and walkthrough. Preparation matters as much as the plaster itself, so we evaluate each surface and set out exactly what it needs before work begins.

Questions

How much does Venetian plaster cost?

Every project is different, so we do not publish prices. Cost depends on the size of the space, the surface, and the finish you choose. After a consultation, we prepare an estimate for your review.

Can I see the finish before you start?

Yes. When needed, we create a custom sample so you can see the color, texture, and overall effect before application. Work is scheduled once the sample is approved.

Can Venetian plaster go in a bathroom?

Yes. Plaster is a beautiful choice for powder rooms and bathrooms. We recommend the right material and protection for the room during your consultation.

Do you work with interior designers and builders?

Yes. We work closely with interior designers, architects, and custom builders, as well as directly with homeowners. If you do not have a designer, we are happy to recommend a trusted professional.
